Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Download Co-Parent from the App Store, tap "Sign Up," and enter your email and password. You'll then be guided through setting up your family.
How do I set up my family?
After creating your account, you'll be prompted to create a family. Enter your family name and add your children with their names and birthdays. You can also select your role (parent, step-parent, grandparent, or guardian).
How do I invite my co-parent?
Go to More > Family Settings and share your family invite code with your co-parent. They can join by entering this code when they sign up or from their app settings.
Can I add multiple children?
Free accounts support 1 family with up to 2 kids. Upgrade to Co-Parent Pro for unlimited children, plus access to Tax Center, expense tracking, and data export features.

📅 Using the App

What is "Tonight Status"?
Tonight Status shows which parent the child is with tonight. It's displayed on the Home screen and helps both parents know who has the child at any moment.
How do I add calendar events?
Tap the Calendar tab, then tap the + button to add an event. You can set the title, date, time, location, and select which children the event applies to.
What are Care Notes?
Care Notes let you document important daily information about your children: sleep times, meals, medication, mood, and school updates. All notes are shared with your co-parent for seamless coordination.
How does messaging work?
The Messages tab provides a dedicated space for co-parent communication. Messages are organized by conversation and can include a cooldown period to encourage thoughtful communication.
What is Child-Centered Mode?
Child-Centered Mode simplifies the interface when your child is using the app. It hides adult features and shows only routines and schedules appropriate for children.
How do I track expenses?
Premium subscribers can use the Expenses feature to log shared costs, attach receipts, and automatically split expenses 50/50 or assign to one parent. Great for tracking child-related costs.

👤 Account & Security

How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email. You'll receive a password reset link. For security, all existing sessions are signed out when you change your password.
How do I enable Face ID or Touch ID?
Go to More > Settings > App Lock and enable biometric authentication. This adds an extra layer of privacy when opening the app.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Your information is private and only accessible to members of your family.
How do I delete my account?
Contact us at support@coparent.app to request account deletion. We'll process your request within 30 days and permanently delete all your data.

Subscription & Billing

What's included in Co-Parent Pro?
Co-Parent Pro includes: unlimited children, Tax Center for organizing tax-related expenses, expense tracking with receipt upload, data export for court/mediation, audit history, and document vault. Subscription is $9.99/month or $79.99/year.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Tap "Upgrade to Pro" in the More tab or tap any premium feature. Select monthly or annual billing and complete the purchase through your App Store account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your App Store account. Go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Co-Parent > Cancel. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are processed through Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund for any App Store purchase.
Does my subscription work on multiple devices?
Yes. Your subscription is tied to your App Store account and works on any device where you're signed in with the same Apple ID.

🔧 Troubleshooting

App won't sign in

Make sure you have an internet connection. Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.

Notifications not working

Check that notifications are enabled in iPhone Settings > Notifications > Co-Parent. Make sure Do Not Disturb is off.

Calendar events not syncing

Pull down to refresh on the Calendar screen. If events still don't appear, sign out and sign back in from More > Sign Out.

Premium features not unlocking

Go to More > Restore Purchases to restore your subscription. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
