Welcome to Co-Parent App. By accessing or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Co-Parent App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Co-Parent App is a mobile application designed to help separated or divorced parents coordinate child-related responsibilities. The service includes:
- Calendar and schedule management
- Care notes and documentation
- Messaging between family members
- Expense tracking and splitting
- Data export for legal documentation
3. Account Registration
To use Co-Parent App, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Upload false, misleading, or harmful content
- Attempt to access other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Use the service to violate any court order or custody agreement
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Co-Parent App offers both free and premium subscription tiers:
- Free: 1 family, up to 2 children, basic calendar, care notes, messaging, tonight status, and biometric lock
- Co-Parent App Pro (Monthly): $9.99/month - unlimited children, Tax Center, expense tracking, court-ready exports, audit history, and document vault
- Co-Parent App Pro (Annual): $79.99/year ($6.67/month) - same features as monthly at a discounted rate
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings in the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Co-Parent App. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the service.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit. We do not verify the accuracy of user-submitted information.
7. Data Logging and Audit Trail
Co-Parent App maintains comprehensive logging for accountability and documentation purposes:
- Custody Status History: Every "tonight status" change is permanently logged with system-generated timestamps, including which parent has custody, when the change was made, and who made the change
- Audit Logs: All significant actions in the app are logged with timestamps and user information
- Message History: All messages between family members are stored with timestamps
- Event and Note History: All calendar events and care notes include creation and modification timestamps
These logs cannot be modified or deleted by users and are designed to provide reliable documentation.
8. Data Export and Legal Use
Co-Parent App provides data export features for record-keeping and potential legal use:
- You can export a complete documentation report including custody status history, messages, events, notes, expenses, and audit logs
- Exported reports include a disclaimer confirming that timestamps are system-generated
- We make no guarantees about the admissibility of exported data in legal proceedings
- Exported data reflects only information entered into the app
- You should consult with legal counsel regarding use of data in court or mediation
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
CO-PARENT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not provide legal, medical, or parenting advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CO-PARENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Co-Parent App and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
